Our Mission Statement

Iqra Montessori Academy (IMA) will offer an individualized learning program based on the teachings of Dr. Maria Montessori that will help support and develop our students academically, socially, and spiritually in an environment that promotes Islamic values and principles.

Our Objectives

• Provide a safe and nurturing environment that satisfies a child’s natural curiosity about Allah’s world 

• Concrete learning experiences through hands-on activities for Arabic as well as all Montessori subject areas

• Build independence, concentration, self-discipline & motivation

• Focus on the development of the whole child, with activities and lessons designed to promote the development of social skills, emotional growth, physical coordination, as well as cognitive preparation

• Provide a carefully planned, stimulating environment where children are free to respond to their natural drive to work and learn

• Help the child develop the kindness, courtesy, and self-discipline that will allow him/her to become a full member of society

• Instill in children love of Allah and their faith

• Build strong Islamic character based on Quran & sunnah

• Incorporate Islamic teachings in everyday routines

• Learning basic Islamic practices 

• Modeling ideal Muslim etiquette 

• Quran memorization and learning Quranic Arabic (prepare them for Quran recitation)
